Conservation Travel Africa respects the privacy of all visitors to the website and users may use the site without providing any personal information. In order to compile statistics and improve our website, we do collect information on the number of visits to the site, pages, viewed etc.

We collect the personal information of visitors who submit their personal details via our contact or who have requested information via email. We may from time to time send marketing updates and newsletters to this list, both from ourselves and from close partners of African Impact, which you then have the option of opting out from receiving using an unsubscribe feature.

Marketing Materials

Any photos or videos of you taken on any of our programmes, or images and videos supplied by you to Conservation Travel Africa or to the local partner, may be used by Conservation Travel Africa without charge in all media for promotional or marketing purposes, such as in brochures, video shows and on the internet. By participating in our programmes you are agreeing to waive any rights to these images, or comments made, and agree that they may be used by Conservation Travel Africa in future marketing.

Data Protection: Booked Volunteers

In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly, we need to use information such as your name and address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies and so on. As your trip is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in your home country. We will not, however, pass any information on to any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. In making a booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons. You are entitled to a copy of your information held by us. If you would like to see this please contact the Company during normal working hours. (We make a small charge for providing this to you).
